Hello, i'm having some troubles with my front audio jack, as when i plug my headset in for example, Windows doesn't recognize it unless i pull the cable up a little while it's inserted, this is really annoying as i can't hold it up all the time.

This is certainly not a software problem as i've already formatted, used the basic drivers and trying to install the Realtek drivers.

I'm using a GA-P55-UD3 motherboard with inbuilt High Definition Realtek sound and i've checked that the cables are connected properly to the motherboard and such.

Could this be a problem with the case, as it still gets recognized when i try to move the cable a little bit? I'm using a Coolermaster Elite 334 case. And if so, how do i fix this?

This isn't a problem with the headset either, as no headphones/headset works.

As your symptoms stick with the case itself and does not chase a specific headset, there's your problem.

A short blast from a can of compressed air into the jack may correct it but I'm doubtful. I suspect you will need to replace the jack as it really is not serviceable. If you contact Coolermaster, they popsolrepublic.com may be able to provide you with a replacement, though I suspect the expense may be equal to that of a new case.
